FEBRUARY MASS CYCLE

Even though it's not quite February, I've decided to document my mass cycle that will cross between the end of January and the whole month of February, and i'll be doing detailed workout descriptions, probably not every day though...and i'll also post up some of my body composition for the purpose of the log...due to a hectic schedule my split is somewhat irregular, mondays i'll hit the gym between 7 and 7:30 at night, but Tuesdays and Thursdays I'll be in at around 4-4:30, Fridays are a toss-up and saturdays are always mornings between 6-8 AM depending on when my training partner and i go to sleep so that we can get enough rest. Wednesdays and Sundays are off days, and my split looks like this
Monday-chest (one tricep move at the end)
Tuesday-Back (one bicep move at the end)
Wednesday-off (possible extra cardio depending on the amount of unwanted fat mass gain)
Thursday-Shoulders
Friday-Legs
Saturday-Arms
Sunday-Off
tonight i trained chest it's the "official" day 1
here's the workout:
Flat DB press: warm-up 45X12
55X10
65X10
70X10(light spot on last 3)
75X10(once again, spotted on last 3)
Incline DB press:55X10
60X10
65X12(2 forced reps at the end i suppose)
Cable crossover (From top down):50X10
60X10
70X10(twice)
Cable Crossover (Low) (*I generally start out doing ten with both arms coming about collarbone high and then alternate arms to get 10 more reps out of it, this is the way i was taught to do it by a guy i trained with last month who was massive)
For this exercise i completed 3 sets of 20 reps as mentioned before with only 20 lbs.
One-Armed cable flyes:2 sets of 10 with 20lbs, followed by a last set of 10 with 30 lbs.
(The split I'm following is similar to the "Roadmap to huge arms" program as some of you may know of and i did one tricep drop-set after all of my other exercises)
Tricep pushdown(rope-grip)drop-set:starting at 80lbs., did 30+ reps (cause i misjudged my own strength) and continued, completing at least 12 reps per plate until reaching 20, at which point i went to failure.

Cardio-Since i'm bulking and it was close to closing time i did 15 solid minutes of HIIT on a Precor elliptical crosstrack machine, on a medium incline i did a 1:1 Slow to fast ratio and completed a mile in just under 15 minutes, and burned about 190 calories

Supplementation: Nitrix (as directed) No-Xplode, and Animal M-stak, for protein Syntha-6 by BSN (and as soon as gold card week hits, i'm going to get another protein powder)

My Body composition scan told me that i gained a pound and a half of muscle last week on a cutting diet with cardio 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes each time. This month I've laid back a little on the cardio (only post-workout)and hope to gain about 3 lbs. (i feel that's realistic, but it might be a slight stretch) the machine tells me i'm at about 36% BF which makes me feel horrible, but my weight is dropping slightly and i'm gaining muscle mass which is what i want, so slow results are acceptable for me. I've quit rushing to lose weight and am going to take it in steps. I believe my weight as of saturday morning was 287 which is 2 pounds up from last month, i have about 183lbs. of muscle mass and 104 of fat, which is hopefully going to drop a little as i'm attempting to clean bulk. If you have any questions, comments, or tips they are more than welcome in my book, and i would be glad to implement anything i could that would aid me in any way.
