TIM RICE'S BLOG ENTRY

SICK AS A DOG

Wow! I haven't been this sick in probably 15 years!!! And as of late I never get sick it seems, but this time made up for all of the others for sure.

It all began Sunday morning at 4 am when my mom called, who was watching my 3 and 6 year olds, and told me they were throwing up. We were surprised so I went over and picked them up around 8 am. Came home then about 10 am hit the bed with severe aches and pains. I felt like a 90 year old retired offensive lineman!!! I was hurting all day and could not move, eat, or even watch tv. I was getting sick, had cold chills, and my other 2 kids were throwing up constantly as well. That day was shot for the most part, though I felt a bit better come that evening.

Monday comes and my daughter is better, but my son , Caleb is severely dehydrated. My wife takes him to the ER, where they pump him full of fluid for dehydration, then hes back home. Later that evening my wife is packing for her trip to Pittsburgh the following day and feels a bit sick herself. Come 3 am she is up throwing up all night long and has to cancel her trip and is bedridden all Tuesday, as is Caleb still. I was managing to take care of my daughter, while trying to protect the only healthy one in the house, my 2 year old Carter.

I was up most of last night sick as well and am feeling about 70% better this morning and hoping to eat more than popsicles and sprite. I would even like to workout if all goes well. I ended up losing 12 lbs through all of this and feel very very small LOLOLOL.

Has anyone else been hit by this bug? Its a killer and if you havent been hit yet, WASH YOUR HANDS AND EAT YOUR VITAMINS!!!!

Take your time and hope you and the family feel better soon. With a lot of stress and pressure lately I'm sure this hit like a "freight train". We're pulling for you!

By the way I had something similar in Dec 07 for the Ironman show where Sean Royer Placed and if was forced to drop out the morning of prejudging because I was just too weak and dehydrated.... I went and sat and cheered him on even though I felt like crap....but I know what your feeling like....Take care brother.... ; )

Sean I bet you are right, with everything going onit probably left the window of opportunity open for this bug to get me.
