TIM RICE'S BLOG ENTRY
ALMOST THERE
Well I have re-grouped and am dong the Mr. ohio this coming saturday, to be hedl in Columbus, Ohio. I need to make things right and see what I really look like after a year of hard training and sacrifice. George Farah is once again guiding me and now that he will not be out of the country I will have him every step of the way this time which should prove invaluable. Hes a great coach for sure and I am condifent we will rectify what went wrong and make a big impression saturday! It is very hard mentally for me though, considering I was not planning this show and was in chicago all last weekend for a U2 concert..a weekend that was suppose to be a unwinding weekend of enjoying life . I did enjoy time with ym wife and friends, but it was very tiring. try sitting at the cocnert eating dry cream of wheat out of a baggie with bagged chicken while veryone else is havin a great time lol...Im crazy I know, but focused like a laser!!
After this show, regardless of outcome I am going to sit down and take a good, long hard look at my future in the sport. My kids are not getting any younger and I have missed plenty of soccer games, etc. and have not been there as much as I would have liked to. This sport really engulfs you and makes you one dimensional.

You will definately see all the hard work and sacrifice this time around. When you want something bad enough it makes you make those sacrifices to achieve goals. Giving yourself that time off to enjoy your wife and kids and rest your body will be just want you need when you decided next year what show you will do. And if you decided to walk away for a bit of a break just know that the itch will always be there! Wishing you the best of luck this Saturday. Its your show to win!
I'm rooting for you Big Tim at The Mr. Ohio this Saturday!! Good luck and God Bless..
I say this with complete respect. I meet guys all the time who tell me they regret working 16 hours day & missing their kids growing up. Regardless of what your doing If your missing family time. Tje bottom line is he same.
So don't feel bad to step away from BB. later on in life the family memories will be highly more cherished then competitions. You've already made good accomplishments in your BB career.
