9 SECOND KO

So I watched UFC Fight Night yesterday which I thought was the best one to date bc all but one fight didn't go to a decision. The most interesting fight of the night in my opinion was the first. It was far from the best but James Irvin knocking out (and it was a knockout no matter how many people booed, Karo Parisian was a different however) Houston Alexander in 9 sec needs to be commented on. I don't think it was skill at all, just Houston's chin being in the wrong place at the wrong time. My thing is, it must really suck for BOTH fighters to have it end in 9 seconds (more so for Houston). I mean these guys trained hard for months to be in a war and it ends up being a recreation of a Tony Jaa movie. I know if I was James Irvin I would be happy that I won the fight and in the record books but, then I would be pissed off bc I did all that preparing for nothing. But that's just me, you hope for the best but plan for the worst.

I saw that fight and was shocked at how Houston's chin was in the right spot for Irvin to hit. I first saw it in real time and was like no way the fight can be over. Then, I saw that Houston head hit the ground and went limp for a moment.

It was a shocking fight, but I don't think Irvin is complaining on the way to the bank! ;)

i saw the two fights. i couldn't believed houstin got knocked out that fast. i think the ref called a good call for karo and alves. i'm a HUGE thiago fan.
