STEVE'S BLOG ENTRY
TWO WEEK VACATION STARTS NEXT WEEK
Hello Everyone,
Well, next week I start my two week summer vacation. I'll be taking the family to Michigan (we'll be driving) to see both sets of in-laws. Also, we'll be celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary! The great thing about vacation is not having to work... but unfortunately it also means I won't be able to work out. I'm bummed about that because I've got a great routine going right now. I'm alternating between two types of full body workouts: a circuit routine targeted at burning body fat, and a straight sets routine targeted at building some muscle. I've been pleased with the muscle building effect, I'm starting to grow! Since my diet has been more appropriate for a bulking phase though, I haven't burned much body fat. Interestingly, BOTH workouts seem to be stimulating muscle growth. I had hoped to lean out my abs so I looked more "ripped" for the beach (my wife's family lives close to Lake Michigan), but that's not going to be the case. I hope that I can keep my diet under control while I'm traveling so I don't set myself back too far. I had made some good progress getting lean in March and April, but have been stalled since then. In fact, the last two weeks I've seen my body fat measurements creeping up. I need to watch that. It's time to get a bit more serious about controlling my diet I guess.
Well, all for now. Blessings to all, and I hope you all have a great summer!
