SURVIVED THE LAYOFF AND MAKING MORE PROGRESS

Hi All,

Well last week my company implemented their 10% headcount reduction and I survived the cut. Whew! I was a bit worried because I didn't relish the thought of looking for another job and most likely having to move. Hopefully, the company can turn itself around now, I know I'll be working hard to make that happen. I've also continued to make progress on reducing my belly fat. However, even though I can measure the progress with a caliper, I don't see any difference in the mirror! Frustrating. I've gone from a skin fold pinch value on my abs of about 14-16mm down to 8-10mm. My goal is to get down to 2-4mm. As long as I can keep my diet under control and keep up the intensity of my workouts I think I can make it. (Maybe.) I'm wonder at what point I'll actually look leaner though. I'm curious to see. Well, all for now. God bless y'all.

Glad you make it and still got your job.

Congrats on making the cut. Difficult as it might be, try not to stress-out too much about the situation at work – all the fat-storing cortisol that stress dumps into your bloodstream will just counteract the leanness that you're trying to achieve with your midsection.

Hang in there Steve. I'm sorry to hear about your scare with your job. It can really put a hold on your workouts and trying to stay fit. But take it one step at a time, and give yourself a pat on the back for a little things that you do, they all count. Good luck with the workouts and diet. God Bless
