WEEK 2 IN THE BOOKS
Feeling great! It's so hard for me to believe that I am enjoying this....
Save for my stint as a bounty hunter/private investigator, I have lived a fairly sedentary lifestyle. Too many years spent inside, on the phone or pecking away at the computer had become a way of life. Now I find myself looking forward to leaving the office and heading to the gym. I owe many of you here at RA a personal "Thank You" and promise to do so via private messages when I get that upgrade. I have even scaled back my late night routines in order to get some more sleep. I am a voracius reader and try my best to read all of the material available here, both for the knowledge and experience you all provide, and also to follow along with your daily lives; most of you probably don't realize the amount of emotion that flows through some of the posts. It's exhilerating to read about your successes and, yes, even the occasional failure.
I put in what I consider a good week at the gym. I have been introduced to the "pyramid" routine and find it very challenging. Made some increases in weight during the week, and was told that my form is improving. While I have not set any specific goals, I now see an increase in weight, or doing a new exercise as a "medal" and hope to continue to make gains and increases over the coming weeks/months.
So far I have been able to stick to my version of a diet. I don't know if it's because I have been sticking to it for nearly a year (about 11 months anyway) or if it's that compared to most of you, I still eat all wrong! In any case, I am keeping my weight under control, and using the logic of muscle weighing more than fat, I hope to add some muscle and either lose or maintain my current weight.
