SHAGGY68'S BLOG ENTRY
INTO WEEK 10
Haven't posted a blog for a few weeks, so I figure it's time to do so.
I cannot believe it is the middle of week 10. Time seems to be going by so quickly. And as each week goes by, it is easier and easier to stick to both the workout routine and a diet. Overall I'm pleased with the progress in the gym. As I am still very much a novice, each week I try and do at least one new exercise and then look to incorporate it into my workouts. I have to say again that being able to sit and read what everyone else here at RA is doing is a tremendous help. The discussions are often so on point, that it's as if my questions are being answered before I even have a chance to ask them!
Also, it's good to see that so many RA members are getting ready to compete, and that they share their preparation experiences with the rest of us. It's a tremendous motivator, and I wish each and every one of you the best in your upcoming competitions. I will be in the background cheering each of you on and look forward to hearing the results.
Progess on the cars is less then I would like. It's at least partially my fault as I have been spending more time at the gym and less time at the shop. The Willy's is in a transitional stage. Wiring is underway and that is a huge undertaking. The amount of connections and wire required to do the job from scratch is unbelievable. Three weeks of part time wiring has gone by and the job is not nearly complete. Bodywork also continues. Progress on this is slow too. Again, the amount of hours necessary to get the body paint ready is staggering, and so too is the amount of money required to get the job done. I am regretting the motor and transmission combination I have put in the car. Instead of taking the easy route of a smallblock Chevy and an automatic transmission I put in a bigblock Chevy and manual transmission. Nothing fits, custom brackets had to be fabricated for everything, and there is no room to work on the motor as the space under the hood is so small. But, if and when it's done, it should be an extremely fast and streetable car and a really exciting car to drive.
Had a little wake up call this week too. Dad is in the hospital with some sort of infection around his heart. His doctor says he will be fine, and hopefully he will be discharged this afternoon or tomorrow. My mother has been losing her mind over this, so I went to visit Dad last evening and then took Mom to dinner. They've been married for 50+ years, so they are kind of close..... Dad is in very good spirits, and I believe he will be fine.
That's it for now. Have a good week everyone.
As always, thanks for reading my rant!

Who thought Shaggy would have psychic abilities LOL. Your progress is terrific, keep up the great work!
Can you help me with my gears in my car? Seems they get stuck and sometimes my car does not start so I play back and forth with gears (my car is automatic) LOL
