SEAN ROYER'S BLOG ENTRY
THE LAST OF THE 6 WEEK ROUTINE
This week concludes a six week training regime that consisted of faster repetitions, HIIT cardio, and walking lunges to name a few. This phase was to keep defined and toned for Summer. Carbs stayed at a lower level, between 140-170 grams per day. My weight has been between 199-203 on a weekly basis. In the later half of the phase came the increase of fish, salmon, flax oil. Increasing the good fat content in my diet, avocado and nuts (mostly almonds).
Training was balanced with warm up sets followed by three sets with increasing weight. Some body parts would get worked twice per week, and good stretching post workout. This was a good time to try new exercises, hand grips, full and half ranges of motion, etc.
At the end of the week I will change my entire workout. I always look at THE ENCYCLOPEDIA, yes there is only one. This will help to give me some advanced direction on the new path. I always look at old workouts (in regards to strength increases, and size increases). Read up on any new exercises, and then plan. Looking forward to the "set up" phase of training. This will be the weeks before I head into the Fall, or in my case mass building phase.
