STURGEON BAY WISCONSIN YMCA THE LABOR DAY TRAINING FACILITY
I just got back from an extended Labor Day Weekend. The last weekend of Summer is always fun, and the weather was fantastic. I have trained at this YMCA in the past, last Fall and the previous Spring. Some great changes in equipment and nice cardio machine upgrades. Thanks to all the YMCA'ers for making those changes!
I was able to get in Thursday, Friday at the YMCA for weights and HIIT. Saturday I took my bike out for a hill filled 20 mile ride. That took the place of my 1 hr uphill walking (normal Sat routine). Sunday I did a 14 mile ride and got some great speed on some long open roads in the early AM. Monday the YMCA opened at 7:00 AM a bit later than I normally train, I got in a great chest workout with HIIT and was able to enjoy the rest of a sunny and warm Labor Day.
I have still been very tired from the volume of training, and after this week I will chop down one set to give it 5 instead of 6. I'm taking some RA advice and also listening to my body and realize that too much volume may tend to over train and over fatigue the muscles that I'm trying to really improve. Next week more changes...
