I decided it was finally time for me to get with the program as they say. On December 7th, 2007 I smoked my last cigarette and in early January I decided it was time to get my body in shape. They say it's never too late, well whoever "they" are I hope they're right! So far I have been on a program a local bodybuilder developed and I gotta say it is working wonders! A lot of my weights have gone up anywhere from 33% to 110% of where I started in early January. Years ago, back in High School and for some time after I did some weightlifting to attempt to get into shape, but it seemed bass ackwards since I had not quit smoking yet. I am not knocking anybody who smokes; I did it for over 34 years, and I am not saying a person can't smoke and be in decent physical shape.

I am glad I found this site as I have learned a great deal already.
