Good call, Mark. I think the military desensitizes you to everything - especially caffeine. I need a five-shot Americano from Starbucks just to get an effect in the morning. I've also been known to drink two RedLines before a leg workout - but I don't suggest that for the kiddies.
I've been training for a long time, and I've always had a protein shake before bedtime. For anyone using whey and not casein before bed, MAKE THE SWITCH! I noticed bigger gains relatively quickly after switching to casein, and I wasn't waking up starving in the morning like I did with whey. I warm up some milk in the microwave and add some casein and natural PB.
Now, if ON would only make casein in Rocky Road flavor... [hint, hint]
