I got one of the worst nights sleep last night and I'm just so tired today, I'll have to put off my workout until tomorrow lol. Stupid question, but Has anyone ever had to skip a day of training because they just didn't feel up to it? I hate missing days but I know I wont be able to put my full effort in if I try to workout today.
BAD NIGHTS SLEEP
actually, not really....I know I prolly should sometimes, but I always make myself.....I crack open an energy drink, or down a serving of Vassive NO and off I go, regardless!

I find if i am tired or not up to a workout i usually complete a light workout with low intensity cardio or some body weight exercises once i finish this workout i feel so much better and less tired and don't feel lazy LOL. :)
Listen to your body, if your not going to be able to focus 100% then don't do the workout and just go for a walk. Being active is still making progress. :)

I find that the only way I can determine whether it's my body that is tired or my mind telling my body that it's tired is to make an effort. I go through my whole pre-workout routine, including supplements, then start the workout. I can tell by the time I finish my first exercise whether the workout is going to be worthwhile or not. There have only been two times that I can remember throwing in the towel and saying, "We'll get 'em tomorrow". Otherwise I find that once I get into the rituals beforehand then kick off the workout I forget all about being tired.
Jerry has a good plan, sometimes our blood is a lil thick and moving gets us going again. On the otherhand if you had so lil sleep you probably should take an extra days rest. Sleep deprivation will raise cortisol levels and trying to work thru this state can be counter productive. Loyalts right listen to your body in this case. If you get yourself in the guilt mode for missing one workout you'll miss your own wedding because it's leg day! lol I've been woking a hell of alot lately and sometimes I miss, but the key is knowing why you miss. was it out of true need or laziness? read my footnote.

Well i also think I should just take the day off, but I don't , I got home at 2am from coaching a game last night and was training at 4am doing my cardio and lifting afterwards. YOu gotta do what you gotta do , I just pop a thermo and I am good to go :) I do try to catch up on weekeneds as far as sleep goes

I do too Bloodgroove LOL. :)
I have found that Valerian has worked wonders to get me fall asleep better and that in itself has improved my workouts. :)

Everyone, believe me when I say that I'm the farthest thing from lazy, I just didn't feel too hot from sleeping on my friends floor after my night out lol. I value your guys opinions so I figured that I'd ask you guys if anyone has ever taken a day off for something like being as tired as I was.
It's all in the balance. Korger has his own routine. Wake up, pee, curls, eat a jar of peanutbutter, drinks some water to stop choking. :)

i know pretty much how u feel my allergies have been beating on me since thursday, ad yesterday i almost didnt workout because of them. but i did pretty much what korjer said and worked out anyway, although thats because it was only abs and calves. i say if u ever dont feel up to working out skip a day and just try to make up for it the next day.
