I look at food quality & portions. I do not count calories or get too scientific.
Not all foods are created equal. For example, a banana & apple are both fruits and make have the same caloric value, but have different impacts on the body.
Same goes for all of the energy giving nutrients- carbs, protein, & fats.
Sometimes chicken may be a better choice, then again fish...depends on the goal & how the body responds.
