I feel like ive read tons of articles and seen tons of controversy on whether or not to eat fruit while trying to diet down. whether your trying to gain muscle or burn fat what is everyones thoughts on the subject. Personally i eat a 1/2 banana in a pro complex shake pre workout but dont normally take any in post workout. However some of the hype suggests fruit is great pre workout and not post workout yet the opposite has also been stated. So what is everyones thoughts on this? just curious what everyone else thinks :)
TO EAT OR NOT EAT FRUIT
Everything in moderation....some cut fruit out 4-6 weeks before a competition just for the sugar content, but other than that it has it's place in ur diet espically if eat'n at the right times! Blueberries are one of my favorite, and one of the best fruits you can eat...

Banana is good in the morning or pre-workout. I like to eat an orange before workouts. I love fruit but slowly cut them b/c of the sugar.
Banana's are worthwile for their potassium which has been found to remove surface water from the body and prevent cramps. That's important to keep up!
Post Score: 1 merit
I second on blueberries! Berries actually have alot less sugar than tree fruits like oranges, banana, pears, etc. They also have a fair amount of fiber! And best of all berries have a crazy amount of anti-oxidants!
1cup blueberries
85 calories, 21.5g carbs, 3.5 g fiber.
1 cup strawberries
55 calories, 12g carbs, 3 g fiber
1 cup raspberries
75 calories, 15g carbs, 8g Fiber!
1cup blueberries

1 cup strawberries

1 cup raspberries

So essentially your eating:
50 calories in the bluebarries
25 calories in the strawberries
-5 calories in the raspberries = negative calories
1 gram of fiber = -10 calories from the overall calorie count
