Over the past few days, I got the idea to get a thread on here designed specifically for the goals and issues of teenage/student trainees. The purpose is for any person of a younger age to post any questions they have regarding training, nutrition, supplements, etc. You can direct your questions to myself or to some of the other ON/ABB athletes that might chime in.
No question is considered stupid here but if you think it's been discussed before, take a quick search first.
I'll get the ball rolling by referencing people to my most recent blog. Most of you have probably seen it but it was regarding the college lifestyle and training.
The College Lifestyle
If this takes off, hopefully we can sticky it. Let's see some questions!

i might as well help get the ball rolling here as well =] just graduating high school this past June, i did find ways to eat my meals during my 5 period days. what i did was eat breakfast just before i left the house, and mix my first MRP shake and leave it in the side drink holder in my backpack so it would be ready to drink whenever. i would also put another backup MRP powder in a ziplock bag in case i had to stay longer after school. and i packed my lunch meal in tupperware. around 3 hours later after breakfast, i would have my first Meal Replacement Bar/Shake in class, or in between periods. then at lunch break (usually a couple of hours later) i would eat my next meal which i packed in tupperware. in a couple more hours school would usually let out in which case i immediately went home and ate my next meal. if i had to stay longer, i had my backup MRP powder and all i had to do was find a drinking fountain, fill my shaker cup with water again, and pour in the mix. (may be a little bit messy from the shake before, but hey you gotta do what u gotta do!)

Started lifting my senior year in high school, i was sort of overweight and wanted to completely overhaul my appearance, so i did just that. Ever since, ive been 100% focused on my health, fitness and training goals. I embraced my new lifestyle. Within the next year i plan on getting certified (not sure which cert. yet, probably ACE) as a personal trainer and picking up a part time job while i work throught my last 2 years of school full time.
When i graduate with my bachelors in Exercise Science i'll have multiple fields i can choose to persue (listed below). Personally im hoping to become a Strength and Conditioning coach for pro-Atheletes/Sports teams and also do pesonal training privately. I would love to have my own gym/personal training studio as well.
Future Career opportunities~
-a strength and conditioning coach
(college and professional sport teams)
-exercise/fitness specialist
-personal trainer (employment settings include corporate fitness programs, community exercise/ wellness settings, health clubs, and similar fitness related organizations)
I admire everything you've accomplished in your career thus far Danny, especially taking the big step in opening your studio. Thats something to be really proud of.
Any career opportunities available at ON with a Exercise Science degree(maybe if i become a competeing bodybuilder)? If so, put in a good word for me! haha

Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing. You determine your own level of involvement.

Excellent thread Danny, you've achieved quite alot @ 21, i turn 21 in December so i look at that in awe lol, the full time college routine can definitely make training and eating on time difficult, any suggestions besides bringing shakes?

Actually luckily for me I have an hour break in between classes as well as at least 2 15 minute breaks during them usually

hey can anyone give me a diet plan that i can eat the same things at the same times each day? I am coming along well on my training but my diet is hindering me from getting to the point i would like to be at. Also maybe a diet plan that i can use for lifting days? I generally wake up at 8 a.m. and do my cardio. I tend to lift at 2:30 in the afternoon. and go to bed at 12 a.m.
