There's nothing more frustrating than trying to stay on a clean eating schedule while your friends are hounding you to come out to eat. I wanted to see some typical meals at national restaurants you guys get to stay on your clean diet. By clean, I am not talking about contest diets just general fairly healthy eating. Please post up national restaurants as something local won't do everyone any good.
Texas Roadhouse-
House salad w/ dressing on side & no croutons or cheese
16 oz. NY Strip (fatty yes but it's suitable for my off season diet)
Baked potato w/ ketchup
RESTAURANTS AND EATING CLEAN
Good one, Danny.
Chili's has a "Guiltless Grill" menu that has a grilled salmon with black beans and steamed vegetables that is really good. All calories, protein, carbs, and fat content are listed on teh menu.
Lonestar Steakhouse:
Grilled chicken breast (they normally make them with a lemon butter sauce so tell them to leave it off), baked sweet potato with cinnamon on the side and add a few splenda packets, and a salad with lettuce only with vinegar and oil on the side.
Red Lobster also has a light menu where you can order whatever kind of fish you want and have it baked, broiled, or grilled with a plain baked potato and a salad same way as above.

Outback Steakhouse: Chicken on the Barbie or 8 oz. sirloin, plain sweet potatoe sprinkled with equal or splenda.
Chipotle: Burrito bowl..Chicken or Steak, with no cheese or sour cream, but salsa and added small amount of guacamole for good fats . Eat the rice and black beans too for fiber.
Chick-Fil-A: Grilled chicken sandwich or salad
Wendys: Small chili and grilled chicken sandwich...take the chicken off the bun, cut up and throw in the chili.
Bob Evans: Salmon, salad with fat free ranch and plain baked potato
Chinese : In general, go to ANY chinese place and have them prepare Brocolli or Hunan Chicken steamed without the sauce, then add steamed rice and put soy sauce over the entire meal.

I have had this Mahi Mahi at UNO and it's awesome. Get a side of steamed veggies and you cant go wrong:
GRILLED MAHI-MAHI WITH MANGO SALSA
We grill this subtle, firm, white fish and serve it with a mango pico de gallo, a wonderful brown rice dish with Craisins®, mango and savory herbs and choice of side.

I love applebees! yes their choices are weight watchers but i do love cajun tilapia and chili lime chicken salad and their is a good portabello steak and chicken as well. but i always order extra vegtables on the salad or on the side, cant eat enough of those, im addicted to broccoli esp.
I really, REALLY like Chili's guiltless salmon with steamed PLAIN broccoli. If you're not doing a contest diet though you could eat the butter. Its really tasty!!!
I second you on that DannyStevens! I could in no way, shape, or form go into Uno's and get fish... I don't think I should ever step foot in an Uno's unless its cheat meal day LOL!!!
I don't know if you guys have Cracker Barrell restaurants in your area but they have pretty good grilled chicken and green beans. Just got to watch what they cook with. That always concerns me!!!
For the most part though-I avoid going out to eat!!! ITs too rough finding good meals there. If I go, I usually have something really small in portion like grilled chicken and small side of green veggies from the childrens menu that way, if Its got butter or something "bad" on it, I dont have to eat much of it or spend way too much on it.
Don't you find it appalling that you order salmon or something at a restaurant and its like 15 dollars for it and broccoli when you KNOW if you cooked it yourself at home it would be about 5 bucks. lol!!!! I think those realizations come to us that cook constantly for competition diets and we know basically exactly how much every piece of food costs because we eat so much of it LOL...
Take care ya'll!
