Hey Everyone! I'm wondering if anyone can give me some insight to one of my favorite fish, Orange Roughy. If you consume this fish as part of your regular diet, you may already know where I'm headed with this and if not, you're in for a real treat. :)
With a serving as little as 3 oz, Orange Roughy packs 19 grams of protein with only 90 calories and 1 gram of unsaturated fat. Now, if you eat this on a frequent basis (say 3x's a day for three days) you'll most likely experience the intersting...(There is no tactful way of stating this so I'm just going to put it out there)- You'll see large drops of oil in your urine. Now, I could understand this if this was a fatty fish, but it is not so how can there be so much visible oil and yet so little fat?
I've discussed this with a handful of people and noone seems to have an answer, possible conclusion is your body just can not digest the oil?? Just not sure what the correct answer is so if you know the mystery behind this one, please let me know. Thanks!
