I was looking to put on some weight over the winter months and wanted to see what everyone thought of Mass XXX. Also when is the best time to take the product and how many times a day. I am currently 5'11-190lbs and lift generally 4 to 5 times a week.

Before we can answer this you'll have to post your split, some info about you and your diet if you can, in my opinion diet is a much of a part of bulking as it is in dieting.
As far as when to take protein generally you want to aim for
1-upon waking
2-post workout
3-before bed
caesin if you can before bed, something like 2:1:1 post workout

Mass XXX is a GNC product. Even though Optimum Nutrition makes some of their stuff, I wouldn't buy it. GNC is WAY over priced.

My splits usually include bis/back on mondays. chest/abs tuesday. legs wed. shoulders/tris thurs. catch-up on fri. with what i need to hit more. Diet includes protein shake and banana for breakfast. pre workout NO explode. post workout mass xxx. 1 to 2 hours later i have my complex carbs (noodles generally). Supper i generally have chicken with some sort of vegetable. Before bed I have a protein shake and natural peanut butter or cottage cheese.
