Hey, I'm 18 and I want to lose weight, enough is enough. I have been overweight my entire life and now I want to cut down from being so overweight and get lean. So far I have been doing pretty good and I've lost 18 lbs, going from 245 to 227, however, for some reason, once I hit 227 I have been unable to lose any more weight and I have been actually gaining weight by eating the same that I have these past weeks. My body needs appx. 3200 calories to maintain my weight so I am eating below 2200 so that I average 2 pounds a week of weight loss. Is there anything that I can do in terms of exercise or nutrition that will allow me to lose weight in a quicker fashion?
I NEED HELP LOSING WEIGHT
lift weights...hit each body part hard n heavy once a week. Cardio...try to get 30-40 min's in 4 times a week either 1st thing in the morning, or after you weights. Then the most important thing of all...EAT CLEAN, try to get 5-7 smaller meals in a day. Combine good sources of protein n carbs at each meal, except for your last meal...drop the carbs n focus on protein only. Carb choices should be mainly brown rice, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, whole wheat bread or begals. Protein should come from fish, chicken, lean meat, protein powders, etc....use the search button on the site to find more info in detail! Good luck my friend

^great post
just a couple things to add.
make sure your rest, nutrition, training, and most important dedication are in check. for rest try to get 8 hours of sleep a night. pick a goal for yourself that will assist you in your weight loss "journey." a goal that will keep you on track.
my goal for example: im going to cabo in august and i will stop at NOTHING to be completely shredded for the beach :). another thing that really helps me is to track all my nutrition and workouts.
PS
don't worry about supplements until your diet and training are "perfect." getting those two down first are most important. and don't forget to be PATIENT! good luck
