I've been wondering what the effects of green tea are, so I started reading documents online. As it turns out, a lot of scientific study points towards the positives effects of the antioxidants in green tea but also a few other effects that it has on the body.
Green tea helps prevent angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels to supply blood to a tissue). This is very important in stopping the spread of metastatic cancer because that tends to be the first step in a new tumor.
Green tea also blocks the body's ability to make Nitric Oxide. This is where I started to say, "Hmmm." Isn't it common for body builders to take NO supplements prior to working out? What effect would taking green tea and also taking NO supplements have on the body?
I'm thinking about taking green tea for its thermogenic properties, but what effect would it have if I eventually started taking an NO product?
