i had my first meal this morning at 7:30am and would normally have another meal (shake) at 10am, but i was in a meeting from 9am to noon. the only thing available in the meeting were donuts. i know donuts are horrible, but if you are trying to gain or even maintain and hit a certain number of calories a day would it have been ok to have the donut rather than nothing at all? because i was STARVING but couldn't force myself to have the donut.
EATING
I would have had a quick protein shake at 9 (even though you just ate at 7:30) and then a meal at noon when the meeting ended. It's much better to bunch the meals a little closer together than to go 4 or 5 hours without eating.
Agreed with Jerry!!
I think if you know you are going to be stuck in a meeting or something on a certain day, pack for it.
I have no problem pulling out a sandwich bag with chicken, or turkey cutlets, or putting some protein in a shaker and drinking that.
Aint no shame in good nutrition man.
Just remember it is about 99.9% nutrition. The rest is training!!

yeah, didn't know it would go that long. the meeting normally goes to 10:30 but this time it was rediculously long for some reason and i couldn't step out for my shake. if that happens again maybe i'll just excuse myself for the bathroom and then have my shake!
for that situation just wanted to see if getting in some food and calories, even though bad, was better than none at all.
