Another good coffee option is to use a product called Almond Breeze. It is a milk substitute made solely from almonds and has been discussed on the forum before. It has a pleasant, nutty taste, really good mixed with coffee...both chocolate and vanilla flavors are available. Look for the unsweetened version. Only drawback is it is expensive. About $3 for a 1 quart container.

i saw a couple people mentioned only having 1-2 protein shakes a day... are you talking about just your meals throughout the day and not pre/post workout shakes. With pre/post thats 2 right there, plus i've read on other threads its beneficial to have whey first thing in the morning, and if you throw a casein shake in there at bedtime thats 4.

No one ever said u HAVE to have a shake in the morning, pre workout, post workout, before bed, etc....Sure whey gets into ur system quicker, but it's not gonna make that huge of a difference. I was just read'n an article by lee priest say'n that he rarely ever has shakes before and post workout...he opts for food. Food should be ur staple threwout the day, no if's and or but's about. 5-7 whole food meals has TONS of benefits that we've discussed before. Sure if ur in a hurry n need to down a shake, go for it. I use 211 recovery after my workout, and nitro core here n there, but I try to opt for food as much as possible. Since I stared do'n this I my body has made big changes, plus I feel tons better...I don't feel bloaty all of the time..too many shakes tend to do that to me.

I agree that 2/day is sufficient. I drink one when I wake up and one before bed. On workout days, since I usually work out late - my post-workout shake is also my before-bed shake. On days when I work out earlier (say 7:00 p.m. on a weeknight - or 1:00 pm on a Saturday) then I will have 3 that day (a.m./post-workout/p.m.)

Thanks again for all the advice. Especially for info on coffee creamers. I was wondering about my total calories, so thanks for that advice Ken. I will also do a search for L-Carnitine on here and do a little research on it.
25 - For cardio I do 30 minutes on a sationary bike (parked in front of my TV) Mon-Thurs., first thing in the AM (after coffee that is). I also do that on Sat. morning.
Fri. and Sun I run 5 miles at a 10 min mile pace. So basically I do some cardio 7 days a week, and lift 4 days. Now that its getting nice out I'll probably do my weekend cardio outside.
