Good point Brad I worded that wrong,Your right your body can't be in a Anabolic and Catabolic state at the same time.I meant you need to protect your muscles at night when you sleep with protein and it's building blocks of,Amino acids. When you damage your muscle fibers and the satellite cells rebuild them bigger and you get plenty of rest like you said your muscles go into Hypertrophy. You want to be in a Anabolic state so when you sleep like you said your body rebuilds repairs and gets bigger. With more protein on your side especially when you sleep(Casein protein Anti catabolic protein) you can push your body into a Anabolic state. But if you don't get enough protein during the day,all that muscle fiber you broke down, when you sleep can turn catabolic,if not protected. Thanks for straitening me out on that Brad...I should have clarified it better.,,Brian.
