PUREXTC'S BLOG ENTRY

2008

So, it's the start of a new year. Aside from financial, and professional goals, my weight training goals are pretty much clear: I want a visible six pack (it's under there, I swear it's hard as a rock under there!), and larger arms. These goals are slightly hard, because for whatever reason, my arms don't get larger, just more defined. The stomach fat is shedding off, and finally, I can see more than just the top two, but the definition between the middle two and top two ab muscles.

My main problem with working out is that I don't push myself once I reach a goal. So let's say my goal was to bench 170 lbs., and I struggle to just get to that point. But once I get there, I get used to it. And then that's all I do. I need to either up the reps, do a couple more sets, or increase the weight. The same goes for my cardio.

Lastly, I need to educate myself better on work out routines, and nutrition. Not this month (I'm broke from Christmas and other bills), but maybe in February, or as a birthday gift in March, I'd like to get started with a personal trainer for a few sessions. Every work day is a schedule, because everything nearby for food isn't very healthy. The nearest restaurants are too far away, so my co-workers and I usually just go to the nearby fast food areas. I need to find alternatives, or learn to cook or something.

I want to post a (topless) picture for the beginning of the year, and another one for the end of the year, but I can't find my USB cable for my camera...

I am trying to get my six-pack defined too. I am already under 8% body fat, but I have to work my abs from different angles and use a variety of exercises( crunches, hanging knees, planks, etc)
