TIME TO GET MY BUTT IN GEAR
There pretty much are no excuses anymore. This is the first time in my life I have gotten a little lazy, well really lazy in my eyes. In July I found out I had 4 bulging discs in my low back, it pretty much made me feel scared to do anything, so at that time I def had to lay off the strongman and I dropped a little weight to keep less pressure off my lower back. Once the end of Oct came, I pretty much went into getting tot he gym once or twice a week and really just going through the motions. Some weeks I did not even get there at all, I was eating about once or twice a day. Then Nov came and I was overwhelmed with work, working retail at the holiday time is a nightmare, and it just got worse, as I went from managing one store to two! So less time to workout and less time to eat, again, excuses...if i were dedicated like I was in the past years, i would have found the time or 5 minutes to eat! Well now that all this is over, besides my back, which I have to get checked out soon, I am back at it, I have reached an all time low in the past 5 yrs of 210lbs!! My strength is horrilbe, and I am pretty soft! So over the past two weeks I have gotten myself into at least 4 meals a day, hitting the gym, light but intense, by doing 5x5 workouts and really just takingmy time working into it. 3 days a week right now, push day, leg day, and a pull day! So far it is working as I am feeling better, gaining strength back and excited to be in the gym again. I have a vacation on an island this year I am going to and dont want my fiance to be embarrassed to be on the beach with me, I am possibly competing in a pro-qualifer strongman in June, if the dr says my discs are ok, and just want to get back in shape. I always said I would never become one of these people, but I did and I will make changes, Guess I am one of those new years workout people, but I will stick with it and get back to my old self. Wish me luck! And my blogs will hold me accountable to getting back in shape!

Good Luck Chris. Sorry to hear you had some rough times, but I'm glad you're coming out of it.

... think we all go uphill sometimes! I was hit head on in summer of 2005... causing serious shoulder problems I still battle today... I too got off the wagon after the accident-- but it's so rewarding to set goals and meet them! Keep us posted on your progress~!
