GETTING STRONGER AND LEARNING THE VALUE OF REST
It seems dumb to say, but you never really appreciate the value of rest until you take some time off from the gym. I went out of town the whole week of Thanksgiving to visit family, and decided to make it a workout-free and supplement-free week (well, if you ignore tryptophan as a supplement :)
I definitelyl appreciated the wisdom of some of my favorite bodybuilding authors--like Pete Sisco--who turned me on to the understanding that muscle growth only occurs OUTSIDE of the gym, while the body is resting. Good lesson to learn.
Anyway, I got back to this week's workouts and decided to get back into 6x a week lifting, following the X-Reps routines from Iron Man Magazine:
Monday, Thursday: Chest and Triceps
Tuesday, Friday: Back and Biceps
Wednesday, Saturday: Legs and Lats
Tonight I finally rolled into the gym at 6pm after a long day at work and to my surprise had one of the best workouts of the past few months. My energy never stopped...I just kept lifting and adding reps and sets. Maybe evening workouts are my best time?
I'm supplementing now with a preworkout stack that includes ON's Vassive-NO and Glycergrow. I've been taking 3 scoops of the Glycergrow 30 minutes before the workout with 24 oz of water & the Vassive-NO,, and then putting another scoop right on my tongue halfway through the workout, chasing it with another 24 oz of water. Post workout, I'm still supplementing with BioTest Surge and 5g creatine.
I'm going to change up starting tomorrow, since my order of waxymaize and ON's Recover just arrived. I'll still do the pre workout stack as above, but change to the waxymaize and creatine just after.
Any suggestions?
thanks again guys. Now I need to get some new measurements taken...

I've read that evening workouts are safer than morning workouts, because your spine has more time to decompress ...suppose that depends on whether you have a desk job or not. My ideal workout time is late morning/early afternoon - after a few cups of coffee. Unfortunately, I can only get these types of workouts in on the weekends.

you put the vassive-no right on your tounge? do u do that b/c it hits you faster or b/c its just easy? either way...thats a good way of taking a powder supplement!
