RESOLVE TO BE BETTER
Whatever it is that you want, need, or are looking to do, you can do it. But first, you must resolve to do it; you must resolve to make the change… resolve to be better than you have been in years past.
PRIMED FOR GROWTH UPDATES 5 6
As they do for most everyone, the holidays have made training, eating right, and even proper supplementation difficult the last two weeks. Nonetheless, I made it through the last two weeks of the Primed for Growth program. I was on-the-road for a week and still seem to be battling a sore throat that’s lying-in-wait, so not every workout was all-out or exactly as outlined. But, all in all, I am pleased with the last several workouts …and the P.F.G. program as a whole.
PRIMED FOR GROWTH UPDATE 4
Between some last-minute travel and the onset of a cold, the last week and a half has presented some real challenges to sticking with the 6-day/week Primed for Growth workout program. In many ways, these diversions may have been a blessing in disguise. I was probably teetering on the brink of overtraining anyway. Besides, it forced me to experiment with things a little. Since honestly assessing the effectiveness of program is a major goal of mine, I didn’t want to tinker with the workouts too much. But, desperate times (or lack of time) call for desperate measures, so I did make some changes – in retrospect – mostly for the better.
PRIMED FOR GROWTH UPDATE 3
Maybe my body is starting to adapt to the increased load. Could be that the new supplement stack is starting to really kick-in. Or it might just be that with the passing holiday weekend I finally consumed enough calories to fully meet my recovery needs. Whatever the reason, Week #2 seemed significantly better – though not necessarily much easier – than Week #1 on the Primed for Growth (P.F.G.) plan.
PRIMED FOR GROWTH PART 2
It wasn’t always pretty, but I made it through week one. The chest workout was very difficult; the back workout, tougher still; and the leg workout? …nearly impossible – at least for me. Arms training wasn’t a picnic either. Overall, I feel pretty good. Not so much physically (I’m sore just about everywhere), as mentally. The sense of accomplishment is undeniable.
