SLIGHT CHANGE OF PLANS

I was talking to my coworker recently at the Home Depot and the topic of a 5k thats coming up in a few months was brought up. This guy is by no means in good shape but he has been inspired by his cousin who was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago and had chemo and all who told him she was going to do the 5k run in the first place. That alone was some encouragement for me and I decided to run the 5k with him. At this point I'm in no shape to run one but I think within these next two months I should be able to get into good enough shape to be able to run it in under 28 minutes. Also, its around the time I start cutting for summer so I figure this will just be extra motivation to keep me going and keep the fat burning off. I'm not going to go hardcore training on it because I do want to keep the mass that I have gained over the winter but I will train decently hard. Most likely run every other day up until two weeks before the comp and then run an extra few times a week up until the race. So yeah... I just hope it all goes well and that it will be a good time.
