EH OK WORKOUT
So yeah, I know that not every workout is going to be an amazing ground breaking workout... but today was just way too far from that. Squats were horrible! I was struggling with 225, just felt like my hip flexors don't want to work... they have been really tight latley and I'm wondering what I can do to loosen them up because even after taking a week off of leg work and stuff they don't seem to get better (home depot's faults because I'm always lifting there). But yeah last set I popped up 225x15, trying to get pretty deep. I did make one leap in progress though, I was able to do a front squat, with the bar in the clean catch position aka resting on the clavicle but still on the hands... like if you were to powerclean. It hurt but it wasn't injury hurt it was a large stretch hurt. I think I keep at it, the muscles and tendons will eventually loosen up and I won't have a problem with it and will be able to add weight. Getting depth wasn't a problem though. Which is good. If anyone knows of any stretches/exercises that will help with hip flexibility, please link me or tell me of them cuz I think they would majorly help my squat, deadlift, powerclean and most power movements... plus increase athletic ability.
