4 MORE WEEKS
Sorry about my absense over the past few weeks. Life has never been busier, and I'm on my countdown to contest time.
The Red River Classic is only about four weeks away. I'm getting anxious to see how my physique has improved over the past year. On October 25th, I'll see how all of the morning and evening training sessions have paid off. Actually, getting my training in has never bee a problem. Diet.....that's a bit different.
While playing in college I was able to eat anything and everything. My weight stayed between 195 and 205 year-round. Things have changed a little. I'm not playing ball, so my cardio was non-existant for two straight years. Over the past year I have really focused on proper training and a consistent high protein, high carb diet. Everything went really well for nearly ten months.
At twelve weeks out, @ 234 lbs, I began slowly changing my diet and developed a new training program. I'm now in the most critical stage of my diet and I'm a having some difficulty. No sugar or salt.....(repeat)....REALLY! I've been just telling myself lies as I chew my food, "this sure is sweet and tasty".
Anyway, I really am excited to see how things turn out on the 25th of October. Hopefully, I'll have the look they're looking for.
