WHEN CINNAMON STOPS BEING GOOD AND GETS UGLY
I thought I was cutting sugar out of my diet until I noticed myself heading for that plastic bear chilling in my cupboard. I don't use it for everything, but tonight I got bored and added maybe one 1tspn of honey in my blender for my protein shake. After the honey, I grabbed my good old trusty ground cinnamon! I love it on everything! well... almost everything.
Since I was still somewhat bored,I started looking up calories for ground cinnamon as well as honey. From my oatmeal to every protein shake I make myself, I add a few dashes and then some to them all. Boy, was I freaked when I found out 1 tspn of ground cinnamon had 18 calories and honey had 60! OMG! All those "dashes" I've been adding to my meals have been adding up!
grrrr... why don't I look up these things beforehand?!That's almost like buying fat free ice cream and eating the entire tub just bc the label says 0% fat!!! Who does that anyway?
I better put that honey on the back burner and be more conscious of my cinnamon sprinklings.
With that, I say...
you CAN have too much of a good thing, and that's definitely when it goes bad.

My big thing to watch is the amount of peanut butter I eat. I've had to stop buying it for now. When I was a kid I would mix pb and honey to make a sandwich, yummy.
Best of luck!
