BEAT THE HOLIDAY BULGE BY HUONG ARCINAS IFBB FIGURE PRO
It’s that time of year again. Get your houses decorated and those “fat” pants out because you have parties, parties, and more parties to attend. Many fright at the sound of putting 10-15 pounds during the holiday season. Let me put many of you at ease. Numerous studies have shown that it’s a whopping pound that Americans actually put on during the holiday season. The level of body fat does rise and give us that expansion that makes most of us uncomfortable enough to loosen that belt. It’s what we do with that mere pound that is important. The truth is many of us drag it into the New Year and weight gets tacked on year after year. Before you grab another cup of that eggnog, here are some tips for you to beat that bulge:
* Don’t go hungry: Have your meals beforehand. You are satiated and less prone to overeat. Go for the veggie or nut tray, which will get you satisfied quickly.
*Pick up a weight: Resistance training develops lean tissue which keeps your metabolism running and increases endorphins all winter long.
*Plan ahead: It’s no brainer, those who map out a game plan with their meals and exercise, wins.
