HEATHERMARIE'S BLOG ENTRY
FIRST TWO WEEKS DOWN
I've gotten the first two weeks down. I met my trainer at 5:30 in the morning five days a week to work on my first regimen. It's basically 4 - 6 minutes of warm up before each workout. Then each day, I hit a muscle or muscle group and follow up with 20 minutes of cardio. I am to follow what we did for the past two weeks for another two weeks. Then switch the order of the exercises I do and follow that for four weeks. After that, I am too meet up with him again and tweak the routine to shock the body.
As far as the diet goes, I have been able to stick to the plan he laid out for me. Of course, Thanksgiving was this week, so there was a little cheating that day, but I didn't stray too far away from it. Sundays are my cheat days. Last week, I craved a big 'ol plate of pasta and acted on it. This week, my mind is stuck on a stack of buttermilk pancakes! At the beginning of the year is when I really buckle down on the diet and these types of cheats will not be feasible. It's like I have to take this time to get it out of my system because I can't do this once I really spike up the training. I don't know if I mentioned that we're aiming for my first competition to be in May of 2008. That gives me roughly four and a half months to get ready.
He's going to start me on a supplement schedule soon. I'll post that information when I get it.
That's about all I've got for now. Pretty soon, I can start getting more creative with my posts, but right now, I don't have a computer at home, so I have limited access and when I hit the computer, I usually have so much to do!
