WHAT KEEPS US COMING BACK FOR MORE

Is it the hope that one day we will do better? I've done better, will I ever do that well again? Its hard to keep it all up sometimes..but I believe.. for some crazy reason..that if I keep trying, even though I'm not young...somehow I'll get better. Only time will tell. But here's a question for the masses or just for the few of you who actually get bored enough to read my post's... Why do some of us..go from muscular with just a little to much body fat...to fat/skinny and by pass the 'ripped' look all together I've tried tons of protein..I've tried fish 6 times a day with nothing but veggies..you name it I've probably tried it..yet the result is always the same.. I never look ripped.. I can look decent in a bikini.. whoopiee! I'm not doing this for the beach, in case you haven't notice I'm kind of pale for that sport! lol I just want the 'ripped' look, not for long term...even though that would be nice too.. but I'd settle for just getting to look like that for the show..instead of year in and year out.. either being just to skinny or having to much body fat...where is that ripped up happy medium??? Help!!!

First off, I don't know what your definition of "ripped" is, because you've got a few pictures from shows up and I'd say you could fall in that category.

I think to have the real "ripped" look you're talking about comes from having plenty of muscle, which for women, isn't quite as easy without supplements as it is for men.
And being to low on bodyfat really isn't that healthy, better to have some but stay in shape. I say forget better, I go for my best, whatever that may be that day, that month, that's what I shoot for!!

I think that we are persistent in pushing ourselves because we are not satisfied. We try different diets, eat this not that, eat now, eat later. Our bodies are forever changing, and maturing. This means we need to keep searching for the right combo of fats, proteins, and carbs. As our training changes, our diets change. The "ripped" look is what you have, but you may be looking for "perfection". This word is almost reserved for "stage look". A window that we shoot for and once the contest is over it is back to the "off stage" look.
Keep working and experimenting, your patience and dedication will take you to where you want to be.
