UNEASY DECISON

Well the last few weeks have been quite exhausting. As many of you know I did choose to compete in the USBF Jersey Shore Natural II. I won the best poser award just like I wanted to. I have to give credit where credit is due. Todd Ganci worked up a great routine that I used to help win. I came out with the mask, gloves, cape, and whole deal and started out dramatic and then broke into an electrifying routine that had the crowd roaring. I also want to give a huge thanks for all the support I got from those who have helped me at GlenPacyna.com. Mike Crelin who is the nutrionalist guru at GlenPacyna.com was there showing the support. Anthony Pacyna, my brother, was also there to get me ready to do battle on stage. Mike Ferris, a new GlenPacyna.com protege, was there filling in voids at the ABB/Optimum Nutrition/GP.com table answering questions and giving out samples. Other clients of mine were there rooting me on as I showed what I had. I formally want to thank every member of my team for their outstanding support because that really makes this sport a little easier.

I also want to add that after the thought has been stirring around in my mind for some time now, I have made the decision to sit the rest of the 2008 competitive season out. I got a call today from Steve Boyer, organizer for the USA team, in regards to the 2008 UIBBN World Championships and I told him to count me out. The decision itself was very hard. Weighing in for the Jersey Shore Natural I tipped the scale at 151.2lbs. I then stepped on stage the following day at 154lbs. After taking the most of this year off to add that added size I needed I felt quite comfortable with my decision. I now feel its time to keep adding the size so come 2009 I can tip the scale weighing in as close to 155 as I can before my carb up. My other reasoning for sitting out the rest of 2008 is mainly because I am trying to get a solidified position as a union security officer for Oyster Creek Nuclear Powerplant. This job will enable me to collect benefits, 401k, paid sick days, and a great starting salary while being able to not miss any time in the gym or lose focus from my work outs. This will also enable me to put more money into GP.com. I also am taking the time off to focus on others as well. My good friend Kent Bierly will be competing in what will be the biggest show in his life. Just when he thought they wouldn't get any bigger they did. Masters Nationals is one thing but to compete in the NPC Nationals is another! I want to be there to support Kent on this quest.

Speaking about others, I am working with my good friend Mike Ferris. Mike is training for MMA fighting. Right now he has put on about 12lbs since training with me. We have actually been able to transform some body fat into solid muscle. I have him taking a variety of supplements to help achieve the goals we have set together. Right now our main focus is to put as much size on as we can. Mike is a very lean kid and we both want him to do well in mixed martial arts. With this being said we still are looking to balance out his physique. After we do as much as we can do as of this year, Mike will then go through a conditioning program at which I had created for extreme athletes like Mike. This program will get him into the best shape of his life so that he can with stand whatever is thrown at him when it comes time to train for his fighting. I have also decided to sponsor Mike in his efforts to solidify his first ametuer fight. Be sure to check back for further updates on team GP.com, Mike, Kent, & myself.
