TRAINING FOR THE UIBBN NATURAL WORLDS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Well this weekend was interesting to say the least. I headed down to Virginia State University to compete in the NPA Si-Flex Fall Classic. I didnt go down there expecting anything more than a hand shake and a trophy. I did the show as a favor to my friend and promoter Harry Silas. I also wanted to get back on stage and see where I stood little less than 2 weeks before the Worlds. My weight was where it usually was which was at a steady 143 solid pounds. I really do think I should be around 140 by the time I leave from Spain because at least then I'll know Im tighter than before.

Its an early monday morning for me. I've been restless since 4:30am. Why you ask? I have no clue. I'm on my way into Quality Shakes Cafe once again this morning where i know i need to start preparing everything before my departure. Both my girls, Alicia and Amanda, are doing a terrific job balancing thier work and school schedual and I appreciate it. However, with me being away for a whole week I have decided to ask my good friend John Guzzi to help take over my hours and keep a close eye on the cafe while I'm gone. I also picked up a client with my prepared meals. I dont think he competes but is looking to. So now I have to make sure his meals correspond to his needed caloric intake and are completed before I leave.

Training will be a little differnt this week than last. Last week I took things slow for the most part. I backed off on the cardio knowing I would be competing this weekend. Now that I am back from my trip and getting ready for yet another show to prep for Spain Im going to hit the weights and treadmill harder. After the Gold's Classic this weekend held on Oct. 27th, I have 3 days before I leave for Spain. So with that being said, I know whatever I do this week is going to determine everything. When I arrive in Spain the Wednesday before the show I will have nothing left to do but fine tunning. How I'm going to go about getting my regular meals in while im traveling through Newark airport beats the hell out of me. Security is so tight I cant bring peanut butter on board with me? Agh...I can never catch a break. Well we will see how that goes.

I will continue to do what Im doing and hope to drope those few extra pounds before the plane ride because I know my body will start to hold water and Ill get bloated from the high altitude, either that Ill be dry to the bone! I will also continue to post a new blog here and there when I can so that everyone knows whats going on.

Hope all is well with everyone, keep up the hard work,

Glen Pacyna
