PRIORITIZING THE NEW YEAR

As the year comes to an end, it's always a natural time for most of us to self reflect and look forward to the upcoming year. Whether or not 2009 was all you anticapated, this is the time to start planning for an even better 2010.

Fitness wise, I'll be compeitng in my second figure competition as a pro in the Spring. I've been able to make some advances in my physique in this looong offseason and am really looking forward to unveiling a better, tighter, more defined package come May!! I am so grateful to have an awesome trainer and ON/ABB behind me!!!

I also want to start spending more time with my family which can be difficult since they are all out of state. I was able to get back to MN a couple weeks ago and went to see my aunt who was dignosed with altheimers disease a couple years ago. I haven't seen her in over a year and really got a wake up call when I realized she barely knew who I was. It made me really wish I would have been trying harder to see her over this past year. She is now in a home with other women who are diagnosed with altheimers or dementia. My uncle drives an hour every day just to spend an hour or so with her in hopes of getting her to smile for a bit. Thankfully, as of now, she still can remember him. Though, how heartbreaking it will be the day he walks in and she has to ask the nurse, "who is he?".

On a happier note, I found out last night that I'm going to be an AUNTIE for the first time come June!!! Just another reason to prioritize family....

I wish for everyone here on R.A to enjoy these last few weeks of 2009. Share in the joy of Christ's birth and know that with him all things are possible. The BEST is YET TO COME......

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him." Corinthians 2:9

Pretty exciting to remember this!

I feel ya on visiting the family more. I live an hour away, so I have no excuses, but yet don't make it as often as I would like. It is sad that some times we prioritize things that are much less important then family. As far as you bringing in a better package, I am looking forward to seeing it as well. I bet your have made leaps and bounds in improvements since the Bluffs when I saw you. Good luck in your upcoming competition.
