TRAINING FOR OUTDOORS
Well I am back training for outdoor season and it has come so fast. I was hurting my first week back. There is definitely a huge difference between training for indoors compared to outdoors. I was teased for a while, running shorter distances at practice, now I have to go back around the track and it has been challenging. My biggest issue is dealing with lactic acid. My legs start to cramp bad and it may take a moment before I recover to do another run. We have been working on this a lot and I have noticed a change when I started taking superantioxidant and glutamine powder before practice. They are products made by Optimum Nutrition. I also take the glutamine powder in the evening when I get home too, so I won't be sore and can come back the next day and train hard too. It seems to be working so far, thank God.
I had to run some 350s yesterday that kicked my butt, but I ran all of them and I ran faster than the times my coach set for me to finish at. So that was definitely a plus. I am pleased with the way things are going and I will continue to take my supplements and keep training hard.
I have my first outdoor race this weekend at Florida Relays. I am only running relays for the next month to work on things and get stronger. So this weekend is the 4x100m and the 4x400m. Yep I have to run a 400 meters Saturday. I am ready though, that race hurts no matter what, so I better just do it right and get stronger. I won't open up in the 100m until May sometime.
