HANDLING TRIALS OF WEIGHT LIFTING WHILE MANAGING BACK INJURY

I am a professional track athlete and have recently gone thru some pretty frustrating injuries that I just could not understand. I have been training hard and my strength and power have increased greatly. Just when my performance was picking up and I was meeting my goals again, my hamstring tore and once cleared I went back to then have a back injury.

Now I am facing the hardship of trying to stay sharp and fit while doing pool workouts and my next challenge I am facing is how to keep my strength and power up in the weight room without exposing my back to further damage.

Lifting is one of the key contributors to the condition I have in my back...so that is why i am so concerned about it.Yet I know that to be truly successful I can not slack off in the weight room.

Decisions, decisions....There has to be a way to get everything done in the weight room without damaging my back more. If you know, please help me.

Thanks

Less muscle & more stretch...a tri-athlete focuses on emotions 1st, cardio 2nd, followed by endurance and then worry about the muscles...Less stress & more reach & you'll leave your competition in the rear view.
