DEBRA'S BLOG ENTRY
FINALLY AT THE HALF WAY MARK
When I first started contest prep, I thought this was going to be the longest 12 weeks EVER!!! Now, I'm only five and a half weeks away. Where did the time go? I still have so much to do (both in and out of the gym). My diet is good. Once again, it's not as strict as I'm used to but I am glad to report that I still get a protein drink every night! My new favorite is Banana Creme. It's like having dessert!
My training is going great. There is nothing like leaving the gym knowing you gave it everything you had. I trained shoulders on Monday and when I finished I said to myself' "Now that's what I call kicking your ass!" - Drew Berrymore... Charlie's Angels!
My cardio is a different story. I'm doing it, but I don't think I'm doing enough. I'm used to 45 minutes to an hour, twice a day, but this time, my trainer only has me doing 30 minutes in the morning and 40 at night. BUT... I know he knows better than I do so I'll just do what I'm told. I have one more week of this and then I get a new (three week) plan. I know he'll bring the pain. I guarantee that in two weeks, I'll be writing, saying 'my trainer is on crack!!!' But I wouldn't train with anyone else...ever!
Now, I need to start focusing on my presentation and walking in those heels. I can get used to the dieting and the training, but those heels... now that's a different story!

Sheila, my worst fear is falling on stage! I've stumbled a couple of times though!!!
Thanks Huong. It goes both ways (I'm routing for you too). I'm kicking myself now for not competing in Charleston this weekend... oh well!
