BEEFCAKE GIRL'S BLOG ENTRY
WHAT A WEEK
Whew, what a crazy week. Aas soon as I got back from AC, I started a new job (back in the corporate world) and it has been nuts! I am happy to have something more stable though...and the hours are allowing me to rest more so my body is happy too!
AC went ok, but I went EXTREMELY flat which is frustrating. My body does not take well to shows back to back! But we did the best we could...and now I have finally reached the point where I need to fil back out and eat and rest. This week I have done a total of maybe 2 hours cardio and I have eaten some cheat meals...really no change in weight though...that is the benefit of getting your metabolism humming along!
Next up for me is a photo shoot with JM in 3 weeks and I am hoping to do the Kentucky show if I can fill out enough. This is hard for me to deal with at the moment...I really want to compete again but I am at the point where I've lost a bit of muscle. As a person who has a hard time building in the first place, losing ANYTHING is disheartening and I don't want to take a step back, even to compete. So I am going to stay in good shape and eat up and rest and see how I look after the shoot. If I can bounce back enough, I will go for the show :)
I want to say congrats to my friend Christian Hammonds who won the overall and the Ohio State show AND the Great Lakes Figure contest last night!!!! She took 5th at Nationals and I'm telling you, she is one to watch. I worked at the shows this weekend (I glazed and glued more girls than I can count!) and it was my absolute pleasure to help. I love working with newer competitors...and there were even a few girls there who helped me when I started! It was very surreal to be helping them out, when a few years before they helped ME! But it was wonderful and I even got to sample some ABB products for the girls which was great :)
Good luck to my girls who are doing the O...Latisha, Jess, Brenda, Julie, Nicole, Jelena, Chastity, Jenn G...you all inspire me so much and I can't wait to see you shine on stage :)
