CONTEST PACKING LIST

Hi guys!

Well you all know I am heavily into contest prep since I have only a week to go! This weekend I will be packing and organizing everything so I have less to do next week (nothing can be left last minute...I don't HAVE any last minutes in my days!) The first show of the year, I always get into my cabinet of contest stuff and go through it to see what I have and what I need to get...after this, subsequent contests are a bit easier, packing-wise, because I only need to replenish :)

I thought I'd post my list of what I pack to take with me to the venue. This isn't all that I take when I travel obviously but it is what I take to the actual show and I thought it might be helpful to some newer competitors:

*Posing suits
*Posing shoes (+ extra pair...I have seen a few girls need them!)
*Stage jewelry
*Jan Tana, sponge & gloves
*Glaze (or oil)
*Bikini Bite
*Towel (to sit on and blot my glaze and tan)
*Pins/sewing kit/suit glue
*Stage makeup & lip gloss
*Makeup sponges & q-tips
*Small mirror
*Hair spray & other hair products
*Barrette or other hair accessory
*Hair clips for styling
*Hair brush
*Flat iron and/or rollers
*Scissors
*Hand wipes (to clean off hands & fingernails after applying tan or glaze!)
*Toothbrush, tooth paste, & FLOSS (for all that flank steak LOL)
*Resistance band to pump up with (you never know if weights will be free to use)
*MY NUMBER!!!
*Purse with cell phone and camera :) (this sounds ridiculous but the day of a show is crazy and if it's not on the list, I may forget it...)

This may seem like a lot but it keeps me ready for anything...and it all fits into a little rolling suitcase I have. I use a rolling one so nothing sits on my shoulder to mark my skin :)

And of course you can't forget your FOOD, WATER, and SUPPLEMENTS!! I always take extra food in case the show runs long and water to drink afterwards...and I always keep my supplements going, even vitamins and such, on show day.

As you may have determined, I have done a lot of shows (16 I think in 4 years??) and I'd like to think I've picked up a thing or two along the way!!

Good luck!
