Training update with a nice surprise
by: DannyStevens - February 4th, 2008
Hey everyone! Hope all is well and you're all on a great road towards spring!
Training has been going well for me. I've been training hard, eating consistently and the results are coming. I'm weighing at a steady 210 LBS and had a pleasant surprise last week when I did my BF%. Looking at myself, I had estimated to be around 15% but I was off, by 4% to be exact. I was extremely shocked to see I was at 10.7%! I came to the conclusion that me being bloated and eating +3,000 calories daily made me think/feel that I was carrying more fat than I am. Having a sheet of water over your abs does not mean anything in terms of body fat.
I plan on to continue to hit it hard until the Arnold where I will have a rest week. After that, it's game on up to Collegiate Nationals! I also might be doing a powerlifting competition where the goal is to break 600 LBS in the deadlift.
Here's a pic I took last week to show you where I currently sit -
