The number one thing isn't the exercise...it's the diet! But the exercises that help the most are straight leg deadlifts, curls, lunges and squats.

My number one exercise that helps is straight leg deadlifts. I just like feeling the stretch in the hamstrings.

Here's one with resista ball:
Lay on the ground on your back with feet on the ball. Lift hips off the floor. Keeping hips off the floor, roll the ball in towards your glutes, squeezing through the hamstrings & glutes. Return to extended legs and repeat.
This can be done with a single leg too to make it more difficult.
