The Final Week Of Mass

by: Sean Royer - February 2nd, 2009
1290This brings the Mass phase to a close. It has been a good and challenging 8 week process. My weight topped out at 220, just a tad bit under what I was aiming for at 225. The biggest change came in week 5 when I pulled the carbs down and decided to begin to tighten up some of the mass.

This week I will continue to push and add more reps and more weight, the reps are good and solid. I am squeezing out some half reps and forced reps at the end. The supersets are a bit draining and I have seen this happen more often due to the carb intake.

My diet remanins very low carb, and I have been slowly dropping, today I'm right at 210. At this point I am 13 weeks out of contest, and I will look to drop the weight very slowly. The longer sessions of conditioning will keep the muscle mass, and as my workout will change next week I look forward to something new. The Mass is now in place and this becomes some good molding/shaping time. At 13 weeks out I have enough time to do this and then follow it up with a strict definition phase.

Sometime in the next week or two I will begin to look at posing trunks and get an idea of what I want to use for posing music. It is nice to get some of these things moving along and not wait until the last minute.

To everyone on RA have a great week, and keep up the good work, until next week...
