I can breath again

81The final job cuts were made yesterday and I wasn't among them. Finally I can relax and count on the fact that I still have a job.

It's been a rough 5 months with layers of interviews, cuts, and change of direction with my company. They warned us in March to be selfish and do what's best for ourselves, but with the job market being what it is, it's extremely competitive. I interviewed with a few other companies and made it to the final interview rounds only be to beat out by others with more experience.

Training has been sub-par for this past summer. I've been as focused as I could, but there was always doubt in the back of my mind. "Am I going to make it?" It did keep me up at night and gave me some funky dreams.

Now I've got to go to training for a while and the diet will suffer. Corporate America loves sandwiches, cookies, donuts, and foods covered in fat. I always make the best choices with what I'm given, but it's hard to be on point with the diet.

To all of those competing this up coming week I want to wish you all good luck. I'll be thinking of you all!!!

Be grateful Joe, I remember those six months off with no work I had last winter was both brutal on my emotional well-being and wallet.

Do your best and the best will come to you without any effort.

Much Prayers sent your way brother iron! :)

Know how you feel. Waiting to hear what is going to happen with my company as well. They are supposed to send out a video to all branches to give everyone the news. Hope things go well for you.
