Get Fit AND Stay Fit

806So, my last post was about transformations and the non-exclusivity of competition. So, this time, I thought that I would blog about how I also have many people that come to me AFTER they had succeeded in a body transformation. However, once they reached their goal, they slipped back into bad habits and quickly transformed back into their pre-fit/healthy body. They wonder why/how they got back into their slump and became so unhealthy again. Many are confused about the process and think that once they get to their goal weight/body, they can eat whatever they want and do less to maintain that look. They wonder why they worked so hard for nothing and get discouraged.
Again, I explain that the decision to go backwards to that unfit body was their choice and is all in their control. Being fit and staying fit is a lifestyle change... NOT just a phase of dieting, or exercising to simply reach a goal. The day that you stop eating properly and execising is the day that you decide that you want to go back to that unfit physique. You make the choice and there are NO excuses. The healthy food choices and small frequent meals should become habit and the cardio and exercise should become part of your daily release of energy and stress. Think of that time as your escape. It becomes enjoyable and you will begin to need that time for you. Stop thinking of that time as a chore and you will get better results.
The benefits to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and fit body are endless and long-term. The choice is yours... get fit AND stay fit!

Great post Kristenann! It is all about making the right choices one day at a time....one meal at a time....one workout out at a time.

Too bad we don't have a "save" button!! haha

Great post KA. It's a MAJOR overlooked aspect of staying lean and fit.

I love when people get ticked off because they're gaining fat while they stop by Taco Bell on the way home. LOL
