6 weeks out from Collegiate Nationals

by: DannyStevens - June 8th, 2008
8741 days to go on the button. Now I officially feel like I'm dieting. I'm not overrun with lethargy but man, food I never looked at before looks oh so good now! My will power is still as strong as ever and the fact that my conditioning is the best I have ever seen it this far out from a show is great. I'm still super motivated but my body is now feeling it. I find that the 6 week mark is one of the hardest. You realize that you're only 1/2 done with what you started (at least in my case as dieting started at 12 weeks) yet there is light at the end of the tunnel. Things usually start to come together 2-3 weeks out.

I weighed in today at 203 lbs. with my waist line around 32.5-33 inches. I estimate my bf% to be around 8-10%. My plan was to go in with around 4-5% body fat so I look to be right on track. Like I mentioned before, I'm not worried about numbers, just looking my best. Like usual, my abs are still the last area to come in, as they're now just beginning to peek out. But, people are now starting to tell me that I look a lot leaner so I guess it's paying off.

Everything is the same as last week in regards to training and diet. Cardio remains at a moderate intensity with 5 - 50 minutes sessions a week. My diet is still focusing on moderate carbs on weight days (around 190-200 grams) and low carbs (around 100 grams) on non weight days. I've also found that sometimes swapping my afternoon Pro Complex shake and my dinner (Salad w/ some sort of meat) is a nice change of pace. The carb. count on both is similar so flipping them doesn't hinder anything but gives my mind a nice and needed break. Supplement list is as follows -

ON Super Multi pack
ON Super Antioxidants (the last thing I need is to get sick so this def. helps)
ON Nitro Core 24
ON Amino 2222 caps. post workout
ABB CarboForce post weight workout
ON Pro Complex
ON ZMA
ON 100% Casein

Thanks guys!
