81Things are coming together nicely. I wanted to be ready by this week and I'm still about 2 weeks off the mark. I will be ready for the show so that's all that counts. My body really is like Sponge Bob in it's ability to hold water. That can be a blessing or a curse depending on how you look at it. I appear "full" more often then not, but by 10am all my veins and some of my definition is gone under a layer of water and I can get extremely frustrated and unmotivated. It also helped when people saw me locally and didn't think I was as conditioned last year, then I got on stage and showed another side of me. ;)

I had no diet changes this week. I did get added cardio. I think I'd rather loose food because cardio has got to be the most boring activity mankind has every attempted. I know have 50min AM and 40min PM 6 days a week. Current moring weight is still holding at 207lbs.

Food wise
1 high day
2 med/low days 100g carbs 21g of fat
4 low days 50g carbs 70g of fat (no carbs on non-training days)

Training
This was the first week I was affected by being tired and the diet. Leg day was off a bit, and the first exercise of each body part went well, but performance went downhill after that.

Overall I'm happy with how things are progressing. I can't wait for cardio to be over. 22 more days of cardio, 44 sessions to go. Yay :p

I think that you will not only be ready but in your best shape. You always seem so focused. Your body is strong, but your strong mind is a winning asset too.

Good luck!

Wow Joe you are doing a lot of cardio!

How much Carbohidrates you eat on High days?

Your Diet is looking really good, why not try to drink all day green tea instead of water for the water loss... :)

Keep the good work going!

Thanks John

First the cardio...I'm doing a lot of cardio and hate it, but it's the lesser of two evils because I'm not that hungry. This has been an easy prep for that matter

Second the water issue is two fold. I use a TON of salt. It will help me drop water easier without having to use any diuretics aside from dandelion root. The other aspect is, it's my genetics. I've always been watery my whole life. I also don't like to be dehydrated. I drink over 2 gallons of water everyday and my body feels better that way.

Good idea though!

Thanks for stopping by John

Great Joe!
Sounds like a good idea the eating with lot of salt and then drop it during the last days of contest but the only bad thing about it is that you might thing that you are bigger and when dropping water you said what happened with the size!!!

I know about how much I'll drop when the water leaves. I usually loose about 6-8lbs which is fine. I know I'm a watery, full, athlete now...come day of the show I need to move the water from the subcutaneous into the muscles...and I have that down pack ;)
